Furman Capital Advisors helped close a deal for the future home of 408 Jackson Apartments, 2.8 acres of land wedged between Vardry and Augusta streets.

The planned complex, named after Shoeless Joe Jackson, will be built on the site of the existing museum. (Photo/Provided)408 Jackson, stylistically called .408 Jackson as a tribute to Shoeless Joe's 1911 batting average, will commemorate the major-league baseball player with features of the existing museum  re-integrated across the site.

Located in an opportunity zone beside Fluor Field and the Greenville Transit Authority offices, the complex will hold 236 housing units and 8,000 square feet of commercial shell space, according to today's news release.

Develop Design Studio and Housing Studio serve as project designers. According to Develop Design Studio’s website, the project is expected to be finished in 2021. Transaction details were not included in the release.
