What is the stiffest challenge facing your industry right now?

Patience in managing through the rest of this cycle while also preparing for the next phase of inevitable growth.

Little known fact about your company or you:

I co-developed Graycliff’s charitable donation program through which each employee is given $1,500 at the end of each year with the latitude to support a charitable organization of their choice. Each employee is also given the opportunity to designate a specific community service effort that will engage the entire office.

What was your first job?

My first professional job was as a tax accountant with Elliott Davis.

Describe your role at Graycliff:

As CEO, I am responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company across all divisions including development, construction, acquisitions, asset management and accounting, and work closely with the executive team.  Because of my dual role as CFO, I also manage the firm’s global financial objectives through multiple, complex ownership structures.

What does your company do?

Graycliff is a multi-family development and investment company with focus on the Southeast and Mountain-West regions of the United States. Since its founding in 2010, Graycliff has acquired and developed 16,256 units, executing approximately $4.5 billion in transactions.
