Arts & Draughts, the quarterly festival presented by the Columbia Museum of Art, is returning for the first time in 2020 as a virtual event.

The event will be broadcast on Nov. 20 from 8 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Viewers can pay whatever price they wish to attend online. A video link and viewing instructions will be made available by 3 p.m. the day of the event, according to a news release from the museum.

Comedian Jenn Snyder will host the event, featuring musical performances, art activities, gallery tours, and a cooking demo. An outdoor viewing is being held at Curiosity Coffee Bar, with limited seating available for tables of two, four or eight.

“We’re excited to be serving up all the things you’ve come to love about Arts & Draughts in the safest way we know how,” Wilson Bame, CMA manager of engagement, said in the release. “The art, the music, the camaraderie, and the great partners from around Columbia are all there along with some new stuff we’ve never tried. This virtual format gives us the opportunity to be super creative and to expand Arts & Draughts beyond the museum walls and into the community.”

Watchers can participate in at-home art activities including paper lantern making and homemade henna. Art supplies can be purchased from the museum gift ship or WECO Bottle Shop & Biergarten for $5 between Nov. 16 and Nov. 20.

WECO and Curiosity Coffee Bar are also selling Arts & Draughts six-packs, while event partner Persis Biryani Indian Grill will offer a themed combo.

The online event will also include the One Columbia Public Art Scavenger hunt with a prize pack from Mast General Store. Participants must visit six locations and post pictures to Instagram using the hashtag #ColaArtHunt by noon on Nov. 20.
