The Boeing Company has donated 76 laptops to Benedict College. The computers have been distributed to student living and learning facilities.

“We are grateful to the Boeing Company for their steadfast support of higher education,” Benedict president and CEO Roslyn C. Artis said in a news release. “Their donation allows us to replace older computers and elevate the technology in some of our key areas of the campus.”

Computers were placed in every dormitory on campus, including Mather Hall, Goodson Hall, Jenkins Hall, Stuart Hall, Gambrell Hall, the Mini Dormitory, the Haskell Street Dormitory and the Oak Street Living and Learning Complex. Student writing labs and computer labs also received new laptops.

The Boeing Company is the world’s largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space, and security systems. The company employs several Benedict College graduates and last week named Benedict alumnus Gabriel Collier, a system design and integration specialist, its Black Engineer of the Year.
