The University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, in collaboration with The Walker Institute and The Rule of Law Collaborative, will host a talk, Vladimir Putin and the Future of Europe: The New Hybrid War, featuring political scholar Mitchell Orenstein on Oct. 28. Orenstein is professor and chair of Russian and East European Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and a senior fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. One of the foremost scholars on the European Union and post-communist countries, Orenstein has written numerous books and journals regarding the comparative political economy and international relations. Orenstein will discuss his 2019 book, “The Lands In Between: Russia vs. the West and the New Politics of Hybrid War,” during his visit.
