The virtual, official kick-off to the holiday season starts at 7 p.m., Nov. 21 as Mount Pleasant Towne Centre begins Log on & Lights Up for the holidays. Because of health restrictions, Towne Centre is bringing the annual event online.

This year, Lights Up includes host Brian Cleary and performances by the East Cooper Baptist Church Choir & Orchestra and Gravel Road Acoustic Trio. Of course Santa Claus will make an appearance along with the lighting of a 40-foot Christmas tree.  

Towne Centre is partnering again this year with Camp Rise Above as the charitable beneficiary for the event.

Firefly Distillery is holding its first holiday season at the company’s new location in Park Circle with an Adopt and Shop event from 12-5 p.m., Dec. 5. The company is partnering with dog rescue Southern Tails for Precious Paws and the Berkeley Animal Center. The Firefly event also will feature vendors for holiday shopping, adoptable dogs, dog supplies and Firefly spirits.

Farmstand is hosting a pop-up from 4-8 p.m. Dec. 5, at Dashi, 1262 Remount Road, North Charleston. Farmstand will be on hand selling local and regional produce and products including:

Produce from a variety of local farms

  • Ashe County Cheese
  • Pastured Eggs from Johns Island
  • Palmetto Farms Grits
  • Hillside Orchard Cider
  • Bell Honey Company Honey
  • The Dutch Kettle Pickles
  • Baked goods
  • Gift baskets

Kids attending the pop-up will receive a free gift bag.

Each week, Farmstand donates 10% of all proceeds to the Lowcountry Food Bank.

Lowcountry Made is holding its first pop-up Artisan Market at Lot 9 Brewing Co., located at 258 Red Cedar St. #14 in Bluffton from 12-5 p.m., Dec. 12. The event includes more than a dozen artists, artisans and makers. Lowcountry Lobster’s food truck will be available, along with holiday music.
