Perlon – The Filament Co. leased 23,636 square feet at 3430 Platt Springs Road in West Columbia to expand its spool cleaning department.
Wilson Kibler industrial specialist George McCutchen represented the company, which has factories in the U.S., Germany and China, in the transaction.
“We greatly appreciate the guidance provided by George McCutchen of Wilson Kibler in finding the perfect location for our Columbia expansion,” Stacy Dooley, Perlon senior procurement manager, said in a news release.
Perlon produces filaments for applications in the paper machine industry, the brush industry and technical textiles, as well as the cosmetic and dental industries.
Prisma Health is expanding its medical office space at 115 Blarney Drive in Columbia.
NAI Columbia’s Peyton Bryant, Ryan Causey and Alex Johnson represented the landlord in the transaction.
Improvements including common area upgrades and renovated suites for prospective tenants are planned in the fourth quarter of this year at the 43,000-square-foot medical office building.
“To retain a major medical office user such as Prisma Health in a competitive marketplace speaks volumes to the continually growing need for its services in the area,” Bryant said in a release. “We are pleased to anchor the building with the state’s largest medical care provider.”s
