The Greer Centennial Lions Club will host a bass fishing tournament at Lake Robinson on April 9 to raise money for Greenville County Litter Ends Here and Keep One Spartanburg Beautiful following a two-year pause.

The all-day event, which is open to the public and sponsored by Greer CPW, will give the fishing community a chance to win $1,000 for the largest fish, as well as other cash prizes.

Gates will open at 5:45 a.m., followed by the start of the competition at 7:05 a.m. and a weigh-in at 3 p.m.

“We are eager to host this tournament again and know anglers are just as excited,” Alison Rauch, Greer Centennial Lions Club’s event liaison, said in the release.

Money from the 2022 tournament will be used to fund litter collection tools and bags for Greenville County Litter Ends Here and Keep One Spartanburg Beautiful.

Tournament registration is open and applications can be found online.

Participants must have a fishing license through the S.C. Department of Natural Resources and a boating and fishing permit through Greer CPW.
