Furman University has established a partnership with Upstate SC Alliance to provide its undergraduate evening studies programming at a reduced tuition rate for employees of Upstate SC Alliance investor companies at the Director’s Circle Level and above.

Furman’s undergraduate evening studies program was established to provide higher education to working adults in the Upstate, according to a news release. Upstate SC Alliance is the regional economic development organization representing the 10-county northwestern corner of South Carolina.

“Workforce and talent development is one of the chief considerations for business leaders when deciding to relocate or expand in the Upstate,” said Beth Crews, director of the undergraduate evening studies program, in the release. “Our ability to provide educational programming for nontraditional students helps fill the need to develop talent in our region. As part of Upstate SC Alliance, we can expand the benefit of a Furman education to more students.”

For qualified students, Furman’s evening program offers a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in business administration, accounting or information technology; and certificates in accounting or data analytics.
