Greenville tops list of emerging holiday destinations

Greenville is the country’s top emerging destination for the holiday season, according to data analyzed by the New York-based communications agency M Booth.
The company compiled a list of the top 10 emerging destinations based on increased hotel bookings and air travel, according to Lauren Blicht, an account coordinator for M Booth.
Greenville topped by the list, followed by Minneapolis, Minn.; Biloxi, Miss.; and Charlottesville, Va.
“Our emerging list is comprised of destinations where we see a significant uptick in hotel and air bookings based on (year-over-year) data,” Blicht said. “To give this more context, hotel and air bookings increased 155% to Greenville.”
The analysis compared travel from Nov. 23.-Dec. 31, 2017 to bookings for that same period this year.
Rounding out the top 10, in order, were Sedona, Ariz.; Bloomington, Minn.; Santa Clara, Calif.; Sarasota, Fla.; Cocoa Beach, Fla.; and Aspen, Colo.
