Ground has been broken on Midway Logistics VI, a 192,780-square-foot spec building in the Lexington County Industrial Park.

The building, featuring multi-tenant Class A industrial space on 27.5 acres, will be the sixth completed by Columbia-based Magnus Development Partners in the park. The facility, which will include energy-efficient LED lighting, 31 dock doors, two oversized drive-in doors and trailer parking, can accommodate tenants occupying from 34,000 square feet up to the entire space, according to a news release.

The industrial park also includes Midway Logistics V, a 180,000-square-foot, build-to-suit facility occupied by Swiss automated storage company Kardex Remstar, and Midway Logistics IV, with 150,000 square feet leased by TreeHouse Foods.  

“We are committed to being the leading developer of industrial buildings throughout the Midlands region and will continue to invest in areas such as Lexington County that are experiencing significant growth,” Magnus partner Kevin Werner said in the release.

Construction of Midway VI is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2021. Colliers International South Carolina will provide leasing and management services for the building.
