Through April and May, a portion of all proceeds from East Cooper Home Store will go toward Communities in Schools of South Carolina. East Cooper Home Store is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
Charleston Friends of the Library is hosting its 39th Annual That Big Book Sale from May 28-30 at the Omar Shrine Auditorium in Mount Pleasant. Proceeds will help fund library services, equipment, training, materials and public programming.
Members can attend a pre-sale from 5-8 p.m. May 27. The event will take place 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 28, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 29, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 30. Items will also be half price on the last day, with the exception of tote bags.
Food trucks will be on-site throughout the weekend, and Charleston County Public Library mascot, Owlbert, will make a special appearance from 1-3 p.m. on May 28. Checks, cash and major credit cards accepted.
