The Fellowship Society will host the 18th annual NASCAR Oyster Roast benefiting Camp Happy Days from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at 1035 Jenkins Road. The event will include local oysters, silent auction items, games and race pools. Attendees are encouraged to bring beverages; mixers and ice will be provided.

Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $30 at the door. Children 12 and younger are free.

The Lowcountry Food Bank raised almost $350,000 — a new record — at its 19th annual Chefs’ Feast gala on Feb. 11.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Lowcountry Food Bank’s childhood hunger programs, which include Kids Cafe, BackPack Buddies, the school pantry and summer meals. The programs aim to alleviate after-school, weekend and summer hunger for children throughout the coastal counties of South Carolina.

Edmund’s Oast is hosting the Switcharoo II fundraiser starting at 5 p.m. March 2. Bartenders will be chefs for the night and chefs will work as bartenders. The menu will be available a la carte.

Limited reservations are available. All the money raised will benefit Ben’s Friends, a food and beverage industry support group in Charleston for professionals with substance abuse and addiction issues.
