Helping Out highlights some of the many charitable events and activities going on in the Charleston area. Submit your news using our online form.

NAMI of Charleston is seeking volunteer board members. Nominations can be filled out online. The election for new board members will be held at the annual membership meeting in March.  

Trustees of The Duke Endowment have awarded $3.8 million in grants to help organizations in North and South Carolina address community needs resulting from COVID-19. Among the groups to receive funding is Halos in North Charleston. The grant will be used to address the pandemic-generated needs of kinship caregivers in seven counties in partnership with Kindred Hearts of South Carolina.
