Parker’s Kitchen recently donated 700 KN95 face masks to Roper St. Francis Healthcare. In the past six weeks, Parker’s Kitchen and its parent company, Parker’s, have donated more than 7,000 face masks to hospitals and health care providers across South Carolina and Georgia, including Pruitt Health in Moncks Corner and Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort.

The Rotary Club of Daniel Island and the Daniel Island Community Fund have donated more than 260 meals to families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston. Meals were delivered from restaurants such as Dockery’s, Daniel Island Club, Laura Alberts, Dog and Duck, Agaves Cantina, Daniel Island Grill and Ristorante Lidi.

Five Liberty fellows have received a total of $35,000 from the McNulty Foundation’s Global Response Fund to support COVID-19 response efforts serving vulnerable communities.

Matthew Alexander, founder and CEO of OneWorld Health, was one of the award recipients.

Palmetto Goodwill received a $100,000 grant from Truist Financial Corp. to continue offering workforce assistance services through its virtual and walk-in Career Opportunity Centers.

The grant is part of the Truist Cares initiative, a $25 million philanthropic pledge to support basic needs, medical supplies and financial hardship.

The Truist Charitable Fund grant will allow Palmetto Goodwill to serve close to 200 additional unemployed individuals in need of career credentialing programs, workforce services and finding sustainable employment.
