Lakeside Lodge Clemson, which features a mix of 118 studio, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units on Lake Hartwell across from Clemson University, is accepting reservations and guests to stay at the property as a hotel.  Lakeside Lodge was scheduled to open earlier this spring before the COVID-19 pandemic set in.

A majority of the condo owners were able to close on their individual units in April and May, according to a news release, but most of the resort amenities remained closed until the state began lifting restrictions. The resort amenities include a full-service restaurant, pool and hot tub, amphitheater, fire pit, football field, meeting space and fitness facilities.

Lakeside Lodge has about 190 hotel room/suites available for overnight stays and short term rentals, but that number fluctuates when owners put their condos, or portions of them, in the rental program, the release said. Overnight rates can range from a rack rate of $109 a night for a traditional resort room, to $299 a night for a one-bedroom lakefront suite, which includes a full-sized kitchen. Rates will fluctuate based on market demand, the release said.

Traditions on the Lake is open for lunch and dinner service Wednesday through Sunday for both indoor and lakeside patio seating, as well as takeout.  The menu features a mix of American classics and international foods with a Southern twist, using locally sourced ingredients, including free-range, grass-fed meats, organically grown produce and house-made pastas, the release said

“We are thrilled that we can finally open the doors and showcase Lakeside Lodge and Traditions on the Lake to the public,” Leighton Cubbage, Lakeside Lodge developer, said in the release. “This has been a project of love for the group of alumni that joined together to create Lakeside Lodge Clemson, and I think we are well on our way to our goal of creating a place where families and Clemson fans will want to be and gather together to create their own new Clemson traditions.”

Lakeside Lodge Clemson is the fourth development on an old industrial party that includes Newspring Church, Tru Hotel and Hartwell Village retail center.
