Latin-Asian restaurant to open second Greenville location

A popular Latin and Asian cuisine restaurant announced a new location to open in Greenville.

Food People Restaurant Group will open the second Greenville TakoSushi at 325 Rocky Slope Road in the Verdae development, directly across from Legacy Park, according to a news release, with an anticipated opening date slated for this fall.

TakoSushi is a casual dining concept known for serving fresh Southwest and Far East fare, including sushi rolls and sashimi, tacos and burritos, as well as many specialty drinks.

Food People President James Williams said the TakoSushi location in Verdae will maintain the same menu as the others, but each of the company’s restaurants has its own personality.

“We like to keep it consistent, yet allow each restaurant to have its own flare,” Williams added. “This was an opportunity to enter a new area of Greenville and allow more of the Greenville community to enjoy our offerings without traveling to Main Street.”

TakoSushi has another location in downtown Greenville, as well as in Columbia, Aiken, Augusta and Evans. New TakoSushi restaurants are also planned for Lexington and Columbia, the release said.

“Food People loves the diversity of the TakoSushi menu and believes it has something for everyone,” the release said.

Food People Restaurant Group has 17 restaurants operating under multiple brands.
