The community can learn more about the proposed expansion of the Swamp Rabbit Trail during an open house discussion on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at ECPI University in Greenville. The proposed Laurel Creek Trail is an expansion of the Swamp Rabbit Trail network that will connect to the future Swamp Rabbit Connector along Laurens Road and extend northeast to Woods Crossing Road.

The trail is expected to provide a safe bicycle and pedestrian connection to neighborhoods, offices and retailers between Haywood Road and Woodruff Road, according to a news release from the city of Greenville. The purpose of the open house is to give the public an opportunity to meet and talk with the consultants from Alta Planning and Design and city staff and provide input on the proposed trail.
