Tens of thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in economic activity depend on the automotive industry in South Carolina. The sector’s statewide ripple effect includes companies such as Mercedes-Benz Vans, Volvo Cars, BMW and Michelin, along with other smaller companies that supply and serve the industry with products, services, raw material and talent.
