A new restaurant focused on pairing foods with high-end liquor and champagne is slated to open later this summer next door to the Hyatt Place Charleston Historic District on King Street.

Bourbon N’ Bubbles, at 570 King St., will offer hard-to-find liquor and champagne brands, including Buffalo Trace, Schramsberg, Taittinger and smaller specialized brands, according to a news release. The restaurant plans to pair the drinks with specialty food items.

“We believe Charleston is ripe for this new concept,” operations director Zach Dennis said in the news release.

The facility will have members-only liquor lockers for private guests and corporate accounts to keep their favorite bottles on hand at all times.

“Our vision for Bourbon N’ Bubbles is the results of years of experience listening to customer needs and wants, which is crucial to standing apart in a crowded marketplace,” Dennis said.

The Bourbon N’ Bubbles interior was designed by Mister Important Design, an Oakland, Calif.-based design firm, with the objective of a modern, industrial layout interspersed with 1940s design elements such as brass fixtures and halo lighting.
