Caroline Guitar Company’s Philippe Herndon will headline the latest edition of Startup Grind Columbia on Thursday at Music Farm.

The Columbia-based company hand builds innovative guitar pedals which pay heritage to the analog craftsmanship of the 1970s and 1980s, all while infusing the latest 21st century technology. Herndon is the local business’s founder and chief product designer.

Established in 2010, Columbia Guitar Company’s pedals are distributed globally and are used by popular artists, which include both Paramore and Band of Horses. The company is a member of the USC/Columbia Technology Incubator.

After the chat, its products can be heard in action during a live concert featuring Danny Machado, Death of Paris and Ivadell, which will perform a Weezer tribute set. Those interested can RSVP for the event here.

The event begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday. Admission is $10.
