The Navy veteran’s Rooster Booster can charge a dead car battery in less than two minutes, providing frustrated motorists an opportunity to be on their way in about the time it takes to wait for a green light at a major downtown intersection.

InnovateHER, a national women’s business challenge sponsored by the Small Business Administration, provides entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase products which help impact and empower the lives of women and families.

Nedd was chosen among eight finalists and now will get the chance to compete against other national winners in Washington, D.C., next March for a chance to win up to $40,000.

Lesenta Lewis-Ellis’s Need-A-Lift Transportation Services finished runner-up while Sherry Norris’s Alala came in third place.
