Free agricultural seminar set for Aug. 21

A free seminar hosted by the S.C. Department of Agriculture’s Agribusiness Center for Research and Entrepreneurship will be held Aug. 21.

The seminar, to take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Phillips Market Center at 117 Ballard Court in West Columbia, is targeted toward state agribusiness entrepreneurs and rural small business owners. It will cover topics such as loan sources, social media and product venues and feature agribusiness success stories and advocates.

Lunch will be provided.

The seminar is co-sponsored by SCORE, an affiliate of the Small Business Administration which provides free mentorship services.
