Columbia-based Abacus Planning Group is merging with Beckwith Financial Advisors, based in Greenville.
Abacus, a wealth management firm, currently serves over 200 clients and manages over $1 billion. In the merger, they gain approximately $30 million in AUM (assets under management).
The expansion into Greenville now gives Abacus a new “home base” in the state for prospective clients, according to a press release. Both offices will be called Abacus Planning Group and will have 26 total employees.
“The door was always open for this possibility,” said Cheryl Holland, Abacus president. “I am excited that we were able to merge talent and expertise for our joint clients.”
The firm primarily serves families with shared assets, especially closely-held businesses.
