Small-business owners invited to airport networking event

Columbia Metropolitan Airport will play host to the 2018 Small Business Fly-In on Oct. 25.

The annual event, in partnership with the S.C. Airports Coalition, will provide networking for entrepreneurs and small-business owners. Participants can learn about bid opportunities at the free event, to be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Landing by RJ at 1832 Airport Blvd. in Cayce.

In 2016, the Columbia airport, along with Charleston International Airport, Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport and Myrtle Beach International Airport, formed the coalition to help build relationships and promote opportunities for small businesses as well as those owned by minorities, women and veterans. The Fly-In also gives business owners a chance to learn about certifications and to meet airport representatives.

Space for the event is limited. Registration is available online.
