(Photo/Provided)Luxembourg-based business process outsourcing provider Majorel has launched a new customer service site in Greenville with plans to hire 250 staff members by the end of the year.

The center, located at 400 Executive Center Drive, aims to bring on more than 500 employees with “a technical aptitude to serve a global high-tech client by offering exceptional support to troubleshoot consumer devices,” according to a news release.

The company selected Greenville after a 12-month review of its labor market, customer service attitude and the community’s industry experience, the release said. The company broke ground on the site in May 2020, and construction culminated in August. An official grand opening is set for later this fall.

“Expanding our facilities into Greenville will allow us to better service clients in the global high-tech internet market and become the partner of choice for U.S.-based brands as well as global companies seeking a U.S. presence,” Gus Gikas, vice president of North American operations at Majorel, said in the release. “We’re excited to work with the local community and promising talent pool in the region to provide an amazing customer experience for our client.”

The customer service company has already begun to recruit through nine waves of virtual training, which started on Aug. 3.

Majorel has a presence in 29 countries with 120 sites and customer support in more than 60 languages, according to the news release. Last year, the company unveiled new sites in Armenia, Georgia, Italy, Morocco, the Netherlands, Senegal and Togo.
