Workers seeking out co-working and other flexible work options in Columbia will soon have a new option as IWG, the world’s largest provider of flexible workspaces, recently announced a new work center for the capital city as part of its expansion in the Carolinas.

IWG announced on Nov. 29 that it will open one of its Regus centers at 140 Stoneridge Drive in Columbia. Another center will also be opening at 900 Trail Ridge Road in Aiken, according to a news release from the company. Other new Regus centers will also be located in Durham, Shelby and Raleigh in North Carolina.

The Regus centers will offer a variety of flexible work options including private offices, co-working and collaboration spaces, meeting rooms and tech services including IT support.

This will be the second Regus location in Columbia. Another is located at 1320 Main St.

IWG also has Regus locations in Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Rock Hill and the Bluffton-Hilton Head area.

“We are delighted to be working with new partners to bring the numerous benefits of hybrid working to businesses, local communities and employees in the area,” IWG’s founder and CEO Mark Dixon said in the release. “Demand for hybrid working solutions has rapidly increased as workers enjoy a significantly improved work/life balance with less time spent commuting, and employers benefit from substantial cost savings and the ability to recruit from a wider pool of talent.”

Founded in Brussels in 1989, IWG currently has 1,100 locations in the U.S. and others in more than 120 countries around the world.
