Richland Library to hold garden level grand opening

Listen to this articleThe Richland Library’s main branch at 1431 Assembly St. will hold a grand opening Saturday for its garden level, which includes the revamped children’s room and teen center.
The event, free and open to the public, will take place from 10 a.m. until noon.
The opening marks the culmination of an extensive library renovation undertaken after Richland County residents passed a $59 million bond referendum in 2013 to improve county libraries.
Local author Dinah Johnson and artist-in-residence Maria Fabrizio will be on hand, and planned family activities include a photo booth.
