The Ritedose Corp. will break ground this month on its 153,000-square-foot insulated pre-cast panel project.

After operating at Carolina Research Park in Richland County, the company will be moving to a new building at the Enterprise Industrial Campus of Midlands Technical College in northeast Columbia, according to a press release.

TRC specializes in the production of inhalation products, eye drops, ear drops and oral liquids. The company is a leader in blow-fill-seal (BFS) manufacturing, in which containers are formed, filled, and sealed in a continuous, automated process.

A majority of the new building will be dedicated to packaging, with space allocated for assembly, warehousing and administrative offices. TRC has an annual capacity of 1.7 billion units.

The project is expected to be completed in the summer.
