Rolling Green Village, a not-for-profit community that provides senior living options to the Greenville community, is undergoing a redevelopment of its 175-acre campus on Hoke Smith Boulevard.

The multimillion-dollar project includes construction of new independent living apartments, single homes, duplexes and a new commons building, according to a news release. An actual cost of the project was not provided.

The expansion is underway with public sales just starting, and construction will begin later this year, the release said. It will include the addition of 60 independent living apartments and 23 single homes and duplexes. The community also will focus on the addition of new amenities for residents, including several new dining venues and other multipurpose activity spaces.

“We’re proud to be part of the Greenville family for the past 30 years, and we’re excited to offer even more amenities with the benefit of Life Plan,” said Ruth Wood, marketing director of Rolling Green Village, in the release. “This project will help position Rolling Green Village for continued success in the decades to come. We’re fully committed to investing in Greenville and making our community a place where residents and their families find a sense of security, first-rate amenities and hospitality to be the cornerstones of their experiences.”

Greenville-based Mavin Construction has been selected as the builder for the project. The expansion and redevelopment project is expected to be completed in early 2020, according to the release.
