Senior living project planned for Verdae

Cardinal Ventures Inc. and Blake Management Group announced plans this week to build The Blake at Hollingsworth Park, a resort-style senior living community. 

Cardinal Ventures is developing the 88,000-square-foot assisted living and memory care community, which will include suites designed for safe and enjoyable senior living, according to a news release. 

“We are delighted to introduce our first Blake senior living community in Greenville,” Jeremy Cole, CEO of Blake Management Group, said in the release. “Our blend of upscale hospitality and commitment to high quality care will fit well in this South Carolina city.” 

The assisted living options include two-bedroom suites, one-bedroom suites and studios. The memory-support area of the community, focusing on Alzheimer’s and dementia care, will feature both studio and one-bedroom suites specifically designed to provide a safe environment where residents’ socialization and specialized cognitive therapy plans are the focus, according to the release. Walk with Me, a Blake’s proprietary program centered on dementia care, will be available at The Blake. The project is located at the intersection of Woodruff Road and Bella Grove Drive in the Hollingsworth Park Community of Verdae.  

Construction is expected to be finished in spring 2020, the release said.
