Photo collection to be displayed at Columbiana Centre

Photos from Family Connection’s LOOK! 2021 exhibit will be on display at Columbiana Centre Mall beginning Saturday.

Family Connection serves S.C. families who have children with a disability or chronic health condition. A ribbon cutting for the exhibit will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the mall’s Belk Court.

“We are honored to have this opportunity to bring pieces of our LOOK! collection to Columbiana Centre,” Amy Holbert, Family Connection CEO, said in a news release. “These beautiful photos of the children and youth we serve represent Family Connection’s goals of creating inclusion, equity and community.”

Photographers across the state volunteered their time and talents to capture the participants in candid moments doing the things they like to do best.

“Supporting the arts and South Carolina families is incredibly important to us, especially on a local level, and we’re thrilled to partner with Family Connection of South Carolina as we bring the LOOK! Collection of photos to our property,” Taryn Trefethen-Boileau, Columbiana Centre general manager, said. “We do our best to provide our community with not only retail and dining options but alternative attractions as well. This exhibit is a perfect example of that, and we look forward to inviting our visitors to view the gallery of work.” 

The LOOK! 2021 collection will be on display at Belk Court through October. The full collection, which premiered in August 2021 at Koger Center for the Arts, can be viewed online at www.familyconnectionsc.org/look.

 “We hope visitors to Columbiana Centre will take the time to visit the display, view the photos, and read the inspiring stories that accompany them,” Holbert said.
