A veteran-owned small business based in Mount Pleasant is planning to expand its operations with a $2.9 million investment and 41 new jobs.
Mission Solutions Group Inc., founded in 2015, is a group of four companies that provide support to the U.S. military: Marshall Communications Corp., a satellite communications and information technology business; Sidecar Enterprises Inc., a spare parts and logistics business; Bluejay Products, a diesel exhaust fluid manufacturer; and Morgan 6, a software development firm.
“We are excited to expand our presence here in the Charleston area as we continue to grow our business,” co-founder and CEO Damon Walsh said in a news release. “It is a terrific location with a tremendous amount to offer and will play a key role in enhancing our ability to attract and retain critical talent.”
The company’s new facility at 6655 Jet Park Drive in North Charleston will serve as the corporate headquarters. Hiring for the new positions is expected to begin in the fall.
“The relationships we have cultivated over the years with Mission Solutions Group have reaped benefits and demonstrate our continued commitment to the defense industry,” said Steve Dykes, executive director of Charleston County Economic Development.
