A 324-acre site in Spartanburg County will soon be home to the Inland 85 Logistics Center. Phase 1 will include a 500,280-square-foot speculative warehouse center, expandable to 1,186,680 square feet, which will be available for occupancy in late 2018, according to real estate firm CRG, who purchased the property. No purchase price was disclosed.

The site is located adjacent to BMW Manufacturing Co.

Once complete, the expandable warehouse will have a 36’ clear height, ample trailer storage and car parks associated with the new state-of-the-art distribution theme built throughout the country. It will serve as a hub for industrial transit, adding to the region’s industrial portfolio, according to a news release.

“We see significant opportunity along the I-85 corridor with immediate access to South Carolina Inland Port, Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport and close proximity to the Port of Charleston, Columbia, Charlotte, Savannah and Atlanta,” said CRG southeast partner Mike Demperio, in the release.

Clayco will serve as the design-builder on the project and its subsidiary, Forum Studio, is the architect on the project. Collier’s International represented CRG on the land purchase. The capital source was arranged by The Net Lease Group in Atlanta.
