The S.C. Public Charter School District has renewed and expanded its lease at the Landmark IV building in Forest Acres.
The district now has a total of 11,304 square feet at the location, situation at 3710 Landmark Drive Suite 201. NAI Avant brokers Macon Lovelace and Peyton Bryant completed the deal in the office park.
The state legislature created the charter school district in 2006, with its mission to be an authorizer of new public charter schools and an authorizer for public charter schools that need to transfer from a local public school. It is designed to house statewide, full-time virtual learning.
The first schools opened during the 2008-2009 school year, when it started out serving 2,000 students at five schools. Now, it serves nearly 17,000 students at 31 different charter schools.
Landmark IV, located in the heart of Forest Acres, is part of a three-building office property inside a professional office and medical park. Amenities include a common conference facility, on-site engineer and day porter, NAI Avant said.
