McMaster replaces 4 members of S.C. State Election Commission

Gov. Henry McMaster has replaced four members of the S.C. State Election Commission. McMaster announced the new appointees on Thursday.

A news release from the governor’s office said the appointments replace four commission members serving in expired terms of office. A fifth seat, previously vacant, will remain unfilled until further notice, the release said.

“The electoral process in South Carolina will be well served by this talented group of leaders,” McMaster said. "Each of them brings a unique and professional level of experience in the democratic process, a firm belief in the rule of law and an unwavering commitment to the sanctity of the ballot box. I’m grateful for their willingness to serve, as they will be critical to maintaining public confidence in the conduct of elections in our state.”
