Richland County Council elected Paul Livingston, who has represented District 4 for more than 25 years, as chair this week. Dalhi Myers, who represents District 10, was elected vice chair.

Livingston succeeds Joyce Dickerson of District 2 and Myers succeeds District 1 councilman Bill Malinowski.

The council also welcomed three newcomers elected in 2018: Allison Terracio, District 5; Joe Walker, District 6; and Chakisse Newton, District 11.

Livingston is a lifelong Richland County resident and is the former vice chairman of the Central SC Economic Development Alliance and current secretary/treasurer of EngenuitySC’s board of directors. Before joining County Council, Livingston served as a commissioner on the Richland School District One School Board.
