Synnex Corp., a business process services company, announced it has been awarded a new U.S. General Services Administration Schedule 70 contract. The company says the contract gives Synnex resellers who have signed up to use the Synnex contract the ability to streamline government contracting and close business opportunities more quickly.
The U.S. General Services Administration contract is the fifth Synnex has received since 1998, a news release said. Through the contract, Synnex resellers can provide solutions from more than 230 technology original equipment manufacturers to federal agencies and, through Synnex’s participation in GSA’s Cooperative Purchasing Program, to state, local and tribal governmental entities in the United States. The five-year contract is renewable for an additional 15 years.
“Our goal is to provide technology OEMs a viable route to public sector markets and give our reseller partners access to a broad spectrum of products that solve problems for public sector entities,” Eddie Franklin, vice president of sales and public sector at Synnex, said in the release. “GSA is a widely recognized procurement vehicle with tight controls and clear rules of engagement that allow OEMs and resellers to advance technology solutions with confidence. Synnex is proud of our long-term relationship with GSA and look forward to collaborating with our OEM and reseller partners to deliver IT solutions to both federal government agencies and state and local entities.”
Synnex has created a website about the GSA contract.
