9Round cracks top 200 of Entrepreneur Magazine’s annual list

A Greenville-based fitness franchise continues to climb Entrepreneur Magazine’s annual Franchise 500 list, cracking the top 200 this year.

9Round was ranked at number 197 when the list was released this week. It is the sixth consecutive year on the list for the company.

In less than a decade, the fitness franchise has grown to more than 600 locations in 13 countries.

“Since starting 9Round almost 10 years ago, our goal has always been to bring specialized kickboxing to the general public in a fun and effective environment,” said Shannon Hudson, 9Round’s CEO and founder, in a news release. “It’s rewarding to see people respond to the 9Round brand and love it as much as our employees and franchisees do. We have no plans of slowing down in 2018 and look forward to bringing 9Round to even more new markets.”

Nearly 1,000 companies were evaluated by Entrepreneur’s editorial team for the 2018 ranking. Factors considered for the ranking include costs, fees, size, growth, support, brand, financial strength and stability. 

Other recent accolades for the company include being seventh on the SC 25 Fastest Growing Companies list; number 22 on Entrepreneur Magazine’s list of fastest-growing franchises and one of the top 50 franchises for women by Franchise Business Review.
