CORA Health Services Inc., doing business as CORA Physical Therapy (“CORA”), a top-10 national operator of outpatient physical therapy services, is opening CORA Johns Island in South Carolina, according to a news release.

The newest addition to the company’s portfolio marks the 31st location in South Carolina, and the fifth in the Charleston area.

Located at 3293 Maybank Highway, Suite 201, the clinic offers treatment for general orthopedic and sports injuries, post-COVID recovery programs, pre-and post-operative care, vertigo and balance disorders, chronic pain, geriatric rehabilitation, sports medicine and workers’ compensation, the release stated.

“We are pleased to expand our high-quality physical therapy services into the Johns Island community,” said James Mullennax, regional vice president with CORA Physical Therapy, in the release. “Our locations and physical therapy services have been very well-received by local residents throughout South Carolina. Our expansion into Johns Island is in response to many of our patients who have asked us to offer more convenient services in the local area to help them achieve and maintain their health.”

Steven Greene, PT, DPT is local to Johns Island and is the clinic manager for the new location, the release stated. Greene has been a practicing physical therapist since 2016, and most recently has been working in West Ashley where CORA opened a year ago. He has worked with local groups and the cleanup Charleston program to aid in community services. He specializes in post-operative rehab, trigger point dry needling, golf-specific rehabilitation, and manual therapy.

CORA Johns Island staff includes doctors of physical therapy who specialize in outpatient orthopedic, sports and industrial rehabilitation, work comp treatment and more, the release stated.
