The company recently hosted a ribbon cutting at the new facility at 501 Memorial Drive Extension, Suite B, which included tours, meet and greets with the care team, and a brief program, according to the release. Members from the Greer business community attended, including the Greater Greer Chamber.

“We’re very excited to officially open our Greer Health Center,” said John Collier, founder and CEO of Proactive MD. “Our dedicated care teams are ready to serve the growing health needs of the Upstate in this incredible new facility, which many patients are already calling their healthcare home. It’s our privilege to work with forward-thinking business owners on achieving the greatest possible health outcomes for their employees.

“We’re proud to offer access to high-quality, affordable care options to patients and employers, fighting for their greatest good and delivering the care they deserve.”

The total investment of the project was $2 million, and Foundation Property Group served as the developer.

Proactive MD’s Direct Primary Care model delivers high-touch, boutique style care at near site Health Centers with providers who treat the whole patient, the release stated. The company boasts broad-scope primary care services, onsite medications and lab, and an expert care team equipped to help patients navigate through the complex continuum of care, according to the release.

The Simpsonville-based company operates in 17 states with more than 70 Health Centers across the U.S.
