The locally owned restaurant, which offers salads and wraps, began on King Street in downtown Charleston four years ago, according to a news release from the company. Verde’s second site opened in 2013 on Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant.
“Our new Avondale location feels like the perfect new spot for Verde. It’s a wonderful neighborhood with a mix of other local businesses and a new community of people we’re excited to get to know and serve,” owner Jennifer Ferrebee said in the news release.
In addition to the new location, Verde is changing its menu. The warm grain bowl, which was a seasonal addition, and kimchi are now permanent items at all locations. The soba salad is also being replaced with the soy bien salad, the news release said.
