In support of the nation-wide Great Backyard Bird Count, observations will be made at Table Rock on Saturday. The information gathered will contribute to a broad study by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology of winter bird populations in North America. Participants can enjoy a morning of birdwatching while seeking out a variety of species in wooded, weedy and wetland habitats.
The Heart Ball, at the TD Convention Center, is a black-tie celebration of the life-saving work of the American Heart Association. The event brings together more than 950 of the region's most prominent medical, corporate and community leaders and includes heart and stroke survivor celebrations, dinner, dancing, live band and more than $160,000 in live and silent auctions.
