A manager at Mount Pleasant restaurant Tavern & Table was shot during a robbery Wednesday night, and police are still looking for the suspect.

According to an incident report, a 5-foot-8-inch black man wearing a dark hoodie and a red bandana on his face entered the Church Street restaurant around 11:30 p.m., after the restaurant had closed.

The man shot manager Christopher Dixon in the lower back before leaving with an undetermined amount of money, the police report said.

In a statement posted to social media, Tavern & Table owner Dianne Crowley said Dixon had surgery Wednesday night and is in stable condition.

“Our staff showed bravery and quick thinking in the aftermath,” she said. “They have all suffered a very traumatic experience, and they are shook.”
