The Columbia Food and Wine Festival will return for its second year in a three-day event April 26-28, the Five Points Association announced Wednesday.

The 2019 festival will begin with a kickoff dinner at Saluda’s Restaurant on April 26. Led by Saluda executive chef Josh Rogerson, the dinner will include five courses, along with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, prepared by various Columbia-area chefs.

On April 27, a dinner titled “Heirloom Breeds + Seeds” will take place at the Seibels House. The dinner, highlighting heirloom and sustainable ingredients, will be prepared by Motor Supply Co. Bistro executive chef Wes Fulmer and Spotted Salamander owner and executive chef Jessica Shillato.

The festival’s main event will be April 28 along Saluda Avenue in Five Points, with tastings from more than 40 local restaurants and featuring local artisans and musicians.

Ticket information will be announced.

The inaugural year of the event included 42 Midlands restaurants and 14 breweries.
