New hotel coming to Greystone Boulevard area

Ground has been broken on a new Tru by Hilton hotel near Greystone Boulevard.

The 117-room hotel at 183 Stoneridge Drive will be owned and operated by Raleigh-based Parks Hospitality Group. Construction is expected to be completed late this year.

Parks Hospitality has plans to develop three additional Tru by Hilton properties soon, according to a news release. Another Columbia-area Tru by Hilton, announced in April 2018, is located in the Harbison area on Columbiana Drive near Carolina Ale House.

“We are excited to bring Tru by Hilton Columbia Greystone to the area and are honored to join such a vibrant and growing community,” Trevor Walden, vice president of operations for Parks Hospitality Group, said in a news release. “Tru by Hilton will provide a great option for cost-conscious travelers looking for a great stay and ideal location.”

Tru by Hilton launched in May 2017 and features smaller, efficient hotel rooms. Tru by Hilton properties also include a 24-hour market with snacks and drinks, free Wi-Fi and lobby tablets, and fitness centers, according to the release.
