Food hall in Greer adds three new vendors

Cartwright Food Hall has added three new vendors to its “artisanal lifestyle dining” concept at 215 Trade St. in downtown Greer. White Wine & Butter, Flying Fox Coffee and Empanada Shack are joining previously announced Origami Donut and Trade Street Taproom.

White Wine & Butter currently provides private chef services and catering. Cartwright Food Hall will be their first restaurant location.

“Downtown Greer is such a unique place, and we look forward to adding our quality services to Greer Station,” Samantha Aupied, co-owner of White Wine & Butter, said in a news release. “We are so excited to bring authentic Old Cajun Country Food to this beautiful area and serve with Cartwright Food Hall and the Greer community. We encapsulate the rich, deep flavors of New Orleans, where I was born and raised, along with the locally and classically trained decadelong experience of chef-owner Michael Sibert.”

Flying Fox Coffee is currently operating as a mobile coffee bar. Owner and barista Jeremy Hartman said the business will provide specialty coffee, espresso drinks, teas and mocktails.

“We are beyond excited to be a part of the community that is the Cartwright Food Hall as well as Greer Station,” he said in the news release. “One of our values has always been creating an environment that lets people know they are known and part of our family. We know Cartwright and Greer share that same ideal as we push for something greater.”

Empanada Shack is currently offering catering services; this will also be their first restaurant location. In the news release, owner Julio Vidal said, “I am super excited to be a vendor with Cartwright Food Hall. We will serve a variety of empanadas from eggs to seafood and look forward to providing that experience to Greer Station visitors.”

Val and Elaine Kang and partners Ben and Caroline Godwin said the opening of Cartwright Food Hall has been delayed until early spring because they have decided to do more, include adding an elevator to make seating on the top floor accessible to more people.

“The completion of the CenterG streetscape project in Greer Station has made our downtown a regional destination for great shopping and dining,” Mayor Rick Danner said in the release. “It is a pleasure to welcome Cartwright Food Hall as one of the outstanding businesses in the city of Greer’s central business district, and I look forward to the opening of its unique venue and the exciting new dining options it brings to Greer Station.”
