David Szustak general manager of CityRange and Chef Topher Gibbs prepare shopping list for take-out Thanksgiving meal orders. (Photo/Provided)Thanksgiving will be a little different this year, which may be an opportunity to start up a new take-out or dine-in holiday tradition. Here are a few Upstate venues offering to do the honors of roasting your bird or sprinkling some marshmallows on your sweet potato casserole this season.

CityRange

Greenville and Spartanburg’s CityRange locations are preparing Thanksgiving feasts with traditional holiday fare, along with steaks and fresh fish, for both dine-in and take-home guests.

The steakhouse will be open for dine-in on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with three-course menu selections starting at $25 per person, according to a news release.

“We recommend reservations for dining fireside and on our covered patio on Thanksgiving Day,” Cory Wilk, owner of CityRange, said in the release. “We want to be our guests’ go-to solution for holiday meals at home as well as at CityRange. After starting our Thanksgiving Feast To-Go last year, we are delighted it looks like demand will be even greater this year.”

CityRange is located at 615 Haywood Road, Greenville, and 774 Spartan Blvd., Spartanburg.

California Dreaming

California Dreaming is taking preorders for a hot Thanksgiving meal with all of the fixings for $25.95.

The meals include an oven-roasted turkey breast, sugar-cured ham, sweet potato casserole, green beans and carrots, mashed potatoes, southern herb stuffing, homemade giblet gravy, cranberry relish, cornbread muffins and pecan pie.

Online orders can be adjusted up until today. California Dreaming is located at 40 Beacon Drive, Greenville, and will also be open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Roost

Greenville’s open-air haunt will be carving a garlic and herb roasted turkey breast and a honey and brown sugar glazed ham with pickled jalapeno Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

A $28 meal ticket will also include buttermilk-whipped Yukon gold potatoes with charred shallot brown gravy, cornbread stuffing with sage and celeriac, roasted poblano mac and cheese, cranberry compote with pink peppercorn and orange and green bean almandine with roasted garlic butter and herbs. Guests can also choose between classic New York cheesecake, pumpkin pie with Chantilly cream and toasted almonds and deep-dish pecan pie with caramel and shaved chocolate.

Roost is located at 220 N. Main St., Greenville.
