The 55th annual Carolina Classic Home & Garden Show is set for the S.C. State Fairgrounds next weekend after being postponed from its original March date.

The event will take place May 21-23 and feature home improvement and outdoor product exhibitions. Admission to this year’s show is free thanks to sponsors including Be Pro Be Proud, Clark’s Termite and Pest Control, Great Southern Homes, Hood Construction and Mungo Homes.

“We are very happy to be back in 2021,” Bill Earle, chairman of the show committee, said in a news release. “The homebuilding industry has really exploded over the past 10 months, and we’re ready to help consumers connect to local building industry professionals this spring.”

Attendees and exhibitors will observe social distancing protocols, and exhibits will feature virtual displays with photos, videos, links to products and live chats with company representatives. The virtual component of the show is online now at BIAofCentralSC.com, and special features will be added during the show.

The Be Pro Be Proud interactive truck will be on hand all weekend.

“Home shows held this year in other parts our state have welcomed sizeable crowds, and we’re looking forward to a big show this year,” said Earl McLeod, CEO of the Building Industry Association of Central SC. “People are ready to get out and be active, and this show will be a great opportunity for them to do that while planning their home projects and upgrades.”
