One of Columbia’s most anticipated social gatherings is returning in person for the first time since 2019.
Arts & Draughts will be held at the Columbia Museum of Art from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. on April 22. The event, which coincides with Earth Day, will feature live music, food, libations and art activities.
“The return of Arts & Draughts has been a long time coming, and we can't wait to celebrate,” Wilson Bame, CMA manager of engagement, said in a news release. “We've got an amazingly fun lineup for this next one. We finally get our party back!”
CMA galleries, including the current Rodin exhibit, will be open and will feature a puppet show and a scavenger hunt. Screened Out Printers will be producing the official Arts & Draught T-shirt, which will be available for purchase.
Earth Day activities, complete with prizes, will be provided by the Congaree Riverkeeper, and a selfie station will be styled by The Beautiful Neighborhood. Food will be available from VG Food, Lil House of Pizza, and Rambo’s Fat Cat Biscuits, while craft beer will be provided by Columbia Craft.
Admission is $10, or $5 for CMA members. Visitors can become a member at the door or volunteer for a short shift and enjoy the rest of the festivities for free.
